Joe Emersic and Damian Burt have been in the personal computer business for a long time. From 1982 through 2003, Damian owned and operated the Compucentre franchise at Oakville Place Mall. Joe started working at Damian’s store in 1988 and continued on until the store was closed in 2003.

Exactly one month after closing the old store, Joe and Damian opened up embur Computers at Maple Grove Village Mall in East Oakville. The aim was to focus on the computer side of the business and get away from the video games with which the old store had become synonymous.

Computer service and repairs quickly became one of embur’s primary jobs and in the first three years at the new location, Joe had serviced over 3000 personal and business computer systems. From virus removal and adware/spyware cleanups to upgrades and rebuilds, Joe does it all. Both in-store and on-site service are available, and embur boasts some of the quickest turn around times in the industry - averaging 1 business day, but often minor repairs are completed the same day equipment is dropped off.

Aside from the service part of the business, embur also carries a full inventory of ink and toner cartridges for many of the most popular personal and business printers - all at the best price in town. Original brand and compatible cartridges are stocked for Epson, HP, Canon and Lexmark and other brands are warehoused locally for rapid delivery.
